Resurgens Orthopaedics is Atlanta’s largest orthopedic practice.  Our staff proudly works as a team to ensure that each patient receives the highest level of personalized quality care and customer service.

We are currently looking to fill an opening for the critical role of Patient Account Representative for our Snellville office with travel to St. Josephs and occasionally the Lawrenceville office.  The PAR is responsible for providing excellent customer service by ensuring all activities associated with the collection of amounts due on patient accounts are achieved for assigned providers, by communicating with all appropriate parties so that charges are billed to approved payers, by following standard CCI guidelines for accurate coding, filing and appealing of claims and effectively managing AR to ensure that all collection activities are compliant with HIPAA requirements.

The successful candidate will possess two or more years of experience in a patient account or collections role in a healthcare environment.  Previous experience with payer websites, working with CodeX, and CMS or other resources providing payer payment rules and claims adjudication guidelines are a plus.

The successful candidate will exhibit a professional appearance and demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in all written and oral communications, including email.  A responsible person who takes initiative will thrive in the fast-paced atmosphere of this office.  

There is minimal travel to other offices for training and meetings.

This position requires someone with flexibility that can support the revenue cycle of the office.

Additional Job Qualifications:

• Associates Degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience

• Strong working knowledge of CodeX program, including CCI edits, bundling logic, coding combinations, modifiers, and diagnosis codes
• Ability to accurately interpret payer explanation of benefits
• Demonstrated conflict management skills
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail

• Excellent customer service skills
